Small Business Holiday Campaign
PayPal’s new CMO and CCO wanted a holiday campaign to make announce PayPal’s support for Giving Tuesdays. The idea was to showcase 5 small businesses with holiday windows on 5th Avenue and support them with lots of press, a new Giving Tuesdays landing page, website assets and a late request to produce some videos highlighting the small biz owners. Unfortunately, the agency’s budget wasn’t going to work for the videos so I was happy to jump in.
As the in-house Production Lead, I pulled together a lean creative team, hired a director and small crew, and produced everything in-house on time and on budget. Due to the shortened schedule, I ran a tight ship for feedback and approvals.
The result? Beautiful videos launched with the displays. Small biz owners got their spotlight, and PayPal looked like a hero. I was even got handed two more campaigns featuring small businesses after that. Not bad for a fire drill.
And Credit to Goodby, Silverstein & Partners for amazing execution of the windows.

Commerce Platform Infographics
In 2019, PayPal set the stage for a global transformation with the launch of PayPal’s Commerce Platform. It required some bold and engaging infographics that would break through the noise.
Our ECD and I collaborated with Peter Grundy, the godfather of modern infographics for some very special designs. Throughout the project, I kept the stakeholders on-board and updated so everyone’s feedback was heard and implemented. And made sure we were always were legally compliant.
Grundy’s designs stole the show. The infographics made PayPal’s Commerce Platform feel modern and interesting. And honestly, working with Peter Grundy was one of the coolest projects I’ve led.

Spotify Paid Partner Campaign
During COVID, PayPal and Spotify teamed up to help fans toss a little cash to their favorite struggling artists. A tricky idea to pull off smoothly.
I wrangled a crew of marketers, designers, and social folks, developed the budget and timeline, and kept everyone on track. And though we only had enough money for stock footage, our design director raised the bar to make all the photography feel original and high-end.
Artists got the spotlight and fans got a way to show the love. It felt good to help make something that actually mattered during a pretty rough time.

Donate Button Landing Page Video
PayPal marketers came to me with a clear challenge: they needed a fun, unexpected way to get people to notice the PayPal Donate Button.
My task was to lead the production from start to finish.
They wanted animation which isn’t always the most budget-friendly, But, I have produced a lot of animation. So, I leaned into strong design and a simple 2D animation approach. This made the animation concept feel even more unique for this category and everyone was excited about it.
The final video landed on time, on budget, and hit the mark creatively. The team loved it and so did the folks who needed to see it.
CEO LinkedIn Series
The Internal Executive Comms team needed a series of videos featuring our CEO for the PayPal LinkedIn page. The goal? Spread the message of what PayPal is up to while making our CEO relatable. That was his charm.
I shot over 15 of these videos in total and because the topics were confidential, I had the pleasure of running the entire productions. I line-produced, hired local crews to shoot and sometimes I even ran one of the three cameras.
We didn’t have a Director, so I acted as that too. Sure no problem because our CEO only liked single takes, but I used our chemistry a few times to get a few more takes out of him and his guests.
End result: Quality videos that hit the mark on both internal and social.
