Smack a Candidate • Personal Project
During the 2012 election, one of my favorite creative duos pitched a totally bonkers idea to create a twitter experience featuring puppets of the presidential candidates boxing each other in real-time based on your tweet about the election. Hilarious.
I couldn’t resist the challenge because Twitter was still relatively new to many.
With zero funding, I was able to call on some of my best resources to make puppets, figure out the tech side of the concept and get it live to launch after the first debate. I will never forget the day it went live when everyone in the office, my family and friends and all the others out there went crazy with the concept.
Pure chaotic gold.
PS. I am pretty proud of how this and some other pro-bono work I’ve done over the years if you have a chance to watch the Partnership for a Drug Free America and Vision Zero videos in my OG Favs section here.
